Maybe not the clown you would send to the kids birthday party.
Actually my dad said that these two guys were auto mechanics and worked at the station. (not dressed as clowns though)

Thanks for posting these great pictures.
When I started driving in 1968, regular gas was priced at 24.9 a gallon.
Filled up my VW hippie van for less than 3 bucks!
I can't imagine that it was even .33 a gal in 1959.

Great shots Gary!!!

Pumped gas from 69-72 at the local Mobil and we couldn't believe it when we passed the $10 threshold and went to 4 numbers...that was a huge RV that took that much...hell that's 2 and a half gallons now....OUCH!!!!!
