Question niagara falls hotel assistance...

my wife an i are celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary and are wanting to stay at/near the falls... we prefer something newer and very nice in the area for accommodations...

any personal recommendations from past visitors or any local nearby residence??

to all - thanks in advance!

Same here Andrew,
No hotel info but I have been there for a day and it's beautiful.
Happy Anniversary to you and your bride and have a wonderful trip.

Andrew,

While I have never been to the falls, my father has visited them 3 or 4 times in the past 10 years.

I remember him stating that there are differences to the Canadian side vs the US side. If I recall correctly, one side (the Canadian?) side has better views of the falls which could help dictate your choice of hotel. Unfortunately, I cannot elaborate further than that.

Perhaps others can provide additional details.

Andrew, there is a very large Casino/Hotel complex on the Canadian side that's fairly new, and it has a very good view of the Falls. I think it would rank right up there with any of the finest Las Vegas Hotels. It's within walking distance to everything, and offers it's guests all the amenities you could ask for. I'm guessing it would have a 4 or 5 star rating.
Unfortunately, I can't remember its name. I bet RickZ would, but he's in-transit from Texax as we speak.

Yes Andrew the new casino on the Canadian side is Fallsview and it is very nice, We have not stayed in the motel, but it is new and I am sure very good. There are several new hotels adjoining it as well. It is definitly a better view from the Canadian side and a lot more built up.I did get a "deal" thru hotwire for the Sheraton over there it was nice but a bit dated and when I checked in they informed me there was a $20 fee to park my car in there lot while I was a guest there, evidently not uncommon so you may want to keep that in mind.
Last couple of times we have stayed on the American side at the Seneca Niagra casino, very nice motel but not the view you get in Canada. Wherever you stay I am sure you will enjoy the area, it is a sight to behold
Rick
