Default for you who resonator delete

Whoever is taking out there resonators. my mechanic just told me the lack of back pressure burns up the seals very quickly in your engine. he said the resonators are to stop that back pressure and without them you will have engine trouble. this is just what my mechanic told me when i asked about it.

Warren G used to say "Resonators Mount Up"

Maybe that is why, to keep it from getting too hot!!

i was talking to him about an exhaust and he said that i should make sure that it does not remove my resonators becauce the resonators keeps the pressure from your exhaust from coming back in and with it gone the pressure burns up your seals in your engine

REGULATORSSSSSS MOUNT UP, back up back up cause its on, N... A .. T to the d and warren to the G. lol best song for karokee ever...

I hate to tell you this but it is time to find a new mechanic. In most street cars, low to mid range power is more useful and sensible so designers desgin a car with just this concept. They want to keep most of the power in the low to mid range. When you add laws like mandated pollution laws and noise controls to the exhaust to the problem you get even more backpressure. If you are designing exhaust systems for modern production vehicles like the crossfire you will have to live with the fact that such systems are going to have quite a bit of backpressure. Its a compromise when building a crossfire owners want to drive to work. Most egines are designed around back pressure, so if you take away the resonator you may lean out. Well all know this ECU will do everyhting but call you the next morning. So that is a worry you do not have to worry about.

BACK PRESSURE IS ONLY GOOD when you are dealing with two stroke motorcycles. Otherwise IT IS, DARE I SAY BETTER FOR, not only performance but also for the life of the engine.

Did your mechanic drop a transmission or something on his head right before he told you that?

Wow your mechanic should sell cars too with that line of **** he's selling. What a ridiculous theory.

Resonators are mostly to tame the noise.... So how is back pressure involved when their is hardly any restriction whatsoever. You still have 4 catalytic converters which are very restrictive, so why would a mechanic say such a thing?
