88 in a Chrysler Lebaron 2.2 litre "K" convertible, by "pace" according to the arresting officer( the judge didn't believe him either)

I was always amazed at how fast those old flat head 8's were...my dads '39 chevy...120....

 

My first car ( had when I was 14) was a '39 Businessman's Ford coupe flathead 8 that roared over 100MPH but I don't remember if the Speedo went that high. At 14 I didn't press my luck with the sheriff very often.

Besides, the doors shook, the windshield lifted ( you could literay crank it open for more air) the running boards began to flap. It was a scarier ride than anything at Six Flags.

Doors were tapered in so that you couldn't open them at high speeds due to air flow. Good thing because the latches weren't any better than those on a house door.

ya think my dad may have stretched the truth...he had a '58 tri-power Chevy 348 that I can remember too...I did over a 100 w/ him in it as well...

2005 Crossfire- 100 (Oh **** what if a cop sees me limited)

honorable mention:
2007 z06- 130, not mine, but once again limited by my fear of things going wrong. I also thought I was going about 80, the speedo moves as fast as the tach.
