Default Ok, Convince me...

I've been wanting a Crossfire since they came out, now I have a chance to buy a 2005 Roadster Limited, with 17800 km for $17500 cdn (11000 miles $14000 us) still has 7 months on extended warranty. How good of a winter car is this? Is the price good? I've heard lots of horror stories about these cars, obviously only from dealers who had none in stock. are they true? I have been snooping around this forum for a few weeks now, and although there seems to be some problems reported, everybody here are obviously madly in love with their Crossfire. So please convince me, and especially my girlfriend.

Thanks

The only real horror stories that I hear are of drivers hitting deer.

Go for it!!! Your girlfriend will love you for it......with the perma-grin you are going to get, she will just know that she is making you the happiest man on earth.

Assuming that everything is fine on the car, you'll love it. It drives fine in the winter, I'm here in Minnesota, close enough to Canada. i have the Continental M+S and to be honest it handles just fine. Summer tires are a definite no-no in the winter. But tires make all the difference on this car. added 50# of salt in the back and she just handles like every other car out there in the snow/slush. No worries. Out of the thousands of posts there are really relatively few issues with the car. the maintenance costs are almost nil, pricey when you do them but few and far between all in all. You'll convince yourself when you drive it-it makes you feel like a million. The car is pretty much bullet-proof. This was one of 4 cars recommended to me by a mechanic I trust, that I should buy for the best bang for the buck. And overall was his pick for number 1 for overall driving, including winter.

We can't convince you.....you have to convince your self.

I've had 3 so far with no problems.

I'd look into a srt-6 if you plan on keeping it long term.

Make sure you check under the weatherstripping under BOTH doors for any rust.

Have fun!

Welcome to the forum! You'll love the car. From what I've seen in the Golden Horseshoe, the price seems right on, the Km's seem very low so go for it especially if you've still got some extended warranty. I do drive mine in the Winter on weekends and I have put A/S tires on, I believe they do help. I have had a few warranty adjustments (seat heater, radiator fan, rear latch) and I've found the Dealer doesn't see enough of these cars to know much about them. To my benefit, I've found support from the forum invaluable and feel very confident when I take the car in for Service Manager that I won't get the runaround.

Roadster, Canada, Spring-Summer -early fall, buy it!!!!!!, then park it, then start all over,in the Spring, with the prices so low buy one for your old lady and a SRT for yourself, cos if you only get one Crossfire YOU will not get to drive it,

Send your GF down to Miami for the day and she can drive my SRT....or my daughter's.
