Default Memorial Day

Well, the Memorial Day weekend is upon us. I hope you all have an enjoyable weekend, and while we enjoy family GTGs, and or just having a good time, lets not forget what we are celebrating.

Thanks for all who made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation.

God Bless you.

I'm with you FP.
May all those in harms way come home safe, thank you for your service. Let's all remember those who did not return. Heroes all.

Amen,

I plan an early visit to Fort Snelling National Cemetery.

In honor of all fallen service members, including Friends, and Family laid to rest there.

5 responses so far...Should have titiled this thread "crossfire dissed on memorial day", to get some more attention and commentary on this long, "holiday" weekend.

My appreciation to all those that have honored us with their sacrifice to provide us the freedoms we have today.

I had the great honor to wash the Vietnam Wall last month. It was an experience you do not forget.

I will be doing it again this summer.

Really makes you think how lucky we are to have had some brave souls fighting for our liberty.

Our American Legion Post will be honoring our departed comrades at seven different cemetaries around our little community of Sterling, Nebraska. I will be serving as chaplain at our ceremonies. It's very rewarding.
