Default Problems with this site...

I recently purchased a new desktop and have the latest updated version of McAfee Security. When I go to log into this site it warns me it may corrupt my computer. It shows "mm.chitika.nell" It tells me the following other sites are being notified of my email info: amazon.com, chitika.com, ebay.com, i4u.com, shopline.com, gpsreview.com, livingroom.com.

Recently I have been receiving a dozen or so spam messages a day, which I wasn't receiving before. Could the site administrator look into this and let me know how I can get my self off the lists for the above listed sites? Has anyone esle experienced this problem? I know I'm already infected from past postings here. I'm currently on my laptop which doesn't display that warning. I guess this computer is already infected. This is frustrating.

I visit this site from four different computers and have never experienced any problems you mentioned. One of them being my work laptop with all the security software installed you can imagine.

It appears related to the recently added advertising on this site, but I don't think it's a major concern.

Add *.chitka.net to your restricted sites.
it will stop the message and end some of the adds.

Add *.googlesyndication.com as well and end the other ads.

while in IE go to tools, IE options, security, resticted sites, add the 2 above.

Thanks for the info. I'll try restricting those two sites. I never got the warning on my laptop, but did on my desktop. I had a 30 day trial on Trend Micro that came with my desktop. When the 30 days ran out, I tried purchasing the plan for three years. I spent four hours over two days and their alledged support could not get it to work on my desktop. They refunded my purchase price because I never used their service. I went to the McAfee site and was up and running within 20 minutes. I've had McAfee for years and never had a problem. Tried and true, I'll stick with McAfee.

I followed your instructions and added those two sites to my "restricted list". I'm happy to say the warning I was receiving on my desk top disappeared. Thank you for the good advice!
