Nor will I
!
AND, the whole Jets thing now just appears to be a sneaky way to get to the Vikings - his plan all along! Get traded to the Jets, make sure you don't endear yourself to the Jets fans, retire (again) & get back on the Vikings bandwagon. Remember that he was already talking to the Vikings BEFORE he was sent to the Jets last year.
I know that many Vikings fans aren't exactly eager about this either. After all, do they really want a 40yr. old quarterback to be running the team? Do they really think he'll get them to a Super Bowl & not choke (like he did for the Packers 2 years ago in the championship game against the Giants)?
Good luck with that!
Every year he does this it makes him look more & more like any other ego-driven athlete who just can't move along with their life.
Trust me, if you've been a Packer fan & have lived through this "I'm gonna retire, oops, no I'm not" or "maybe I'll retire; maybe I won't" B.S. for the past 6 or 7 years you'll begin to understand why so many Packer fans were happy to have the team commit to Aaron Rogers.

I wish some of the guys on the board I moderate could be that much of an adult.
Heard the news while at work this afternoon & wasn't at all surprised. I mean, really, did ANYONE expect him to stay retired after, let's see now: 7 yrs. & counting, of the very same nonsense?
I see that he actually DID manage to stuff his over-sized, ego driven head into a Vikings helmet. And all this just to get even with Ted Thompson?!
Not to mention I LOVE the way he just so happens to pass up training camp & the first preseason game as if he already knows everything there is to know about his new teams' offensive game plan. Oh, & he'll expect to start.
Well, good luck, Vikings fans. Just don't expect miracles from this fossil! He's been wearing out somewhere around game number 10 for the past several seasons. Instead of your team attempting to work with a young quarterback, prepping him for a couple of seasons, getting him up to speed well enough where he knows the playbook in his sleep you're going to attempt to take the whole prize by placing the team on the rapidly shrinking shoulders of a guy who should know better. He should be back home in MS fishing & wrasslin' gators instead of taking the risk of blowing out a body part.
I think I'll have to burn my copy of the Sports Illustrated "retirement" issue just to feel good about the whole thing again.

Come on Kurts!
If the Vikings did not suck so hard, Green Bay would slide into Lake Michigan.
Would someone look up Favre's stat on winning percentage in the Condome? (Viking Field)?
Do you think it will actually improve?

thanks. I'll admit to gettin' pissy once in a while and letting some know how I view the way they present themselves on the forum.
But then I go and insult someone (this instance in left-handed jest) and show my a$$.
I do try not to do that.
But one is still on my ignore list, and will remain there.

Whether or not you meant it for a laugh, GDC, it was a good one - I salute you
No, that would be Detroit - sorry Lion's fans.
Besides, we don't have any tectonic plates shifting under us
Personally, I think the NFC Central is completely up for grabs this year. Chicago may have actually found a real quarterback in Cutler, the Vikings still have Peterson & the Packer's new Dom Caper defense looks pretty solid. Not to mention Roger's; even though sophomore years are always tough for quarterbacks. We'll see, it will be an interesting year.
Oh, sorry, I didn't mention the Lions. Who knows, they'll have the easiest schedule on the planet this year - then again they have had easy schedules in the past.
But, as far as Brent (sic) is concerned, don't expect anything from Packer fans except complete resentment.
Edit - a 1yr. contract for a mere $12 milllion - & he may still have a minor tear in his rotator cuff.
Let the circus begin!!!
