Default Pittsburgh Tragedy

As some of you may have heard, there was a shooting in Bridgeville, PA yesterday evening that caused the death of three women.

Details of the three women:

Details on victims begin to emerge

This event happened in a plaza less than 2 miles away from where I work that contains a Wendy's I have eaten at for lunch.

Some people I work with knew the guy that did the shooting.

Some people I work with go to that L.A. Fitness.

A more cowardly act has never been so personally known to me.

Very sad indeed that someone so troubled can go unnoticed for so long, even with the blog the shooter apparently had for quite some time, and that totally unrelated, completely innocent people should suffer so much because of it.

I wish I could say that.

I once knew a wonderful lady in her 50's who was a 911 dispatcher and great friend to me during my divorce. She helped me get thru tough times.

THen, one day, she killed her ex-husband, his new wife and then herself. It was an obvious act of "if I can't have him, neither will she".

I was a personal friend of hers, we talked for hours at a time quite often. Then, one monday in the late 80's, she was gone.

Lesson one: You NEVER know what is going on in someone's mind OR what they are capable of. (There is no lesson two, that I can think of.)

I myself work a few miles from that area. It was the talk of the week at my work as some of the people I know go there also.

It is truly sad. A gym is one place I would never expect something like this to happen.

I do not believe in an afterlife, but incidents like this make me wish there were a literal hell. I can not stand that these evil cowards can quickly and painlessly escape from any consequences. The pain they cause can last for many lifetimes.
