Pizza's Radar Thread
So it seems as though the VASCAR route along with the stop watch (acts like VASCAR only more archaic, errr, I mean simpler and cheaper) operates on the speed priciple (distance over time) which is what the intended uses of this tool is . So if I'm flying by that road cone, sign, painted white line at say 80, when it's a 55, and I immediately slow down to say, 40 I won't be cited for a ticket because the rate of real estate coverage should average out abouts right???
no you will not be cited, but I sure h3ll will giggle a lot....
just so you all know, I am working tonight, although at the county hospital. I have morgue duty tonight, anyone want to help out?

Thanks Pizza(Radio)Guy!
My Radar Detector has saved me many times (especially in Minnesota, where I am accelerating from a stoplight, just hit the speed limit and all of a sudden, the Ka-band alert starts ringing. I instantly let off my accelerator and 10 seconds later, a police car crests the hill a quarter mile in front of me.)
A Radar Detector to me is not so much a "ticket preventer" as it is a "police detector". Let me tell you something, I've never gotten a ticket whenever squad cars were not around!!

Me I like the newer cars that I can lock in at 5.0 over the limit which is 30 in 25. 60 in 55 and the like.
Faster, follow a group but dont be first, dont go over 10 and stay straight, no zig zagging, no tail gateing, no body hanging out of the car., throw no trash. Watch their lights.
Faster still, get on to a sweeper. THats a guy doing fast, fall behind aboout 1/4 mile and watch his tail lights and your mirror. Dont go his speed, do a falling behind speed not over 15 - 20. This works some of the time as he is the tall nail or the longest pole in the tent and draws some of the lightning. THis is better than nothing but not good for the long term, they only have to catch you once. You have to evade them always,
Faster still, get into a driving school like the one I have done a bunch, like Bertil Roos school which is about as much as one good ticket, not counting the insurance implications.

Still faster?, you can start signing up for the near earth orbit with burt rutan. 2009-03-11 BURT RUTAN'S AIRCRAFT AND SPACESHIPONE pictures from aviation photos on webshots

I've received one ticket from VASCAR.....and was just relieved that he didn't get me several miles beforehand because I was still backing it down. Figured I came out the winner in that one.
