Last minute trip
Yesterday, on a whim, I decided to take the family on a trip. I think we all just needed to get out of town for a bit. We have not gone anywhere since before our 6 month old was born. Anyway, we jumped in the car this morning and headed for Asheville N.C. I got us tickets for the Christmas Candlelight Evening show at the Biltmore House for this evening. Then we will go back to the Biltmore tomorrow for the day. Monday, we will do some sightseeing on the Blue Ridge Parkway, and visit some of the local waterfalls. We will be coming back home on Tuesday.
Well, I just wanted to jump on here and say a quick hello, and wish everyone a Happy New Year!

bmorgan, hope you had a great trip. Seems like the spur of the moment trips are always fun.You were only about 60 miles from my home, but we were on a trip too. We spent New Years at Snowshoe WVA. Snow conditions were great but it finally got too cold for me on the last day ( -8 with wind gust to 35 mph). When we got home to 30* temps it was like a heat wave. Its all relative I guess!
The big house in Asheville is a cool place. My daughter takes riding lessons there from time to time and we were able to meet the Cecils as they are avid riders. He is gravely concerned that unless the inheritance laws are changed his family will lose the estate upon his passing. Doesn't seem fair!
Wishing your family and all the Crossfire families a happy and great New Year!!!
