Driving in China.
To drive in China you need no driving skills, just put your foot down and go until you hit something or someone.

Horse Hockey!
That there was filmed in Auburn Alabama!
I personally liked the one where the car sneaked up on the idiot standing in the intersection.
It might have been me driving!

There doesn't seem to be any rules about lane direction or stopping before proceeding.
The bike accidents are funny.
I believe the Chineese are practicing Darwin's theory of evolution. Survival of the fittest, or the luckiest
Here in Missouri, if you run into an SRT with a bike you stole, wearing no shoes, no helmet and no sense, you get a Check for $11,000.

I am hoping that these were drug and alcohol induced tragedies. What else could explain this much silliness. I am trying to think of the last time I decided to go stand in the middle of the road and play bus tag. If the goal was to see how close you could come to being hit with actually being hit, that guy came close to perfect 10.
Folks, I spent almost a year working in China in the early 80's. The remarkable scenes you just viewed haven't changed significantly in 30 years.
Just a WHOLE lot more motorized vehicles. Some of the craziest ...stuff I've ever seen happened there. No offense intended to my Asian brothers, but it's a well documented fact that the physical limitations of their peripheral vision is to blame. Depending on how squirrel-eyed you are, the average Caucasian has about 230 degrees of vision as opposed to 190 degrees for people of oriental descent. Makes a world of difference when piloting either a car OR a bicycle. And remember-they have only been able to buy a car in the last 10 years. Before that it was pump or walk. They are just not yet able to comprehend the mass/velocity/stopping distance thing.
Give them time. From a safe distance.

As for Asians having less than other races I could find no corroboration for that either. May be it's an urban myth.
But with the right mirror settings on your car you can see 360 degrees no problem and you need to with all the nuts out there.
