Gary, Indiana Air Show
I finally finished editing my video of the Gary, Indiana Air Show held at Marquette beach on Lake Michigan July 10-11. I don't know about all of you but I'm a big fan of military aviation. I don't post videos on YouTube so this video is exclusive to crossfireforum.org. I apologize for my shakiness and the low quality video. I downgraded it so the download size would be smaller for you guys. The video was shot with an HD video camera so if anyone wants the high quality version let me know and I will upload it. I have about 2 hours of video but I dumbed it down to about 20 minutes worth of video for you guys. If you don't like the Top Gun music too bad cause it's one of the greatest movies made in my opinion. Let me know what you think.

Oh trust me I have talked to USAF recruiters twice now in past three years. The way I'm planning on doing it is getting my bachelors degree and taking an ROTC class and enlisting as an officer. I will start off serving my four years to see how I like it then if i do like it then serve the twenty five years then retire. It's only a matter of time until I join the Air Force. I would like to be married as well before enlisting cause I was told by a recruiter that if your not married you can't live with your girl. You have to be at least an E-4 before your given allowance for a house on base unless your married and have dependents. Don't know how it works for officers but by the time I have my degree I should be married. Grats for serving our country and especially the USAF!!!
Sounds like you have a good plan for yourself. With the way the economy is these days you have to have a workable plan because it is not as easy to just go out and get a good paying job as it once was. I lucked into a good Fire Department job went I was discharged from the USAF but now you about have to have a degree to get that now that there is such a large applicant poole. Good Luck Cody.
yeah i know. im stuck working six days a week and midnights for little pay. i have tried many times for a better job but it won't happen cause i have no experience and no degree yet. starting out as an e-1 you make 1,400 a month. i make more than that now. as an officer o-1 i think you start out at like 2,100. not a big leap but it's better than what i make now. i just hope i can have my bachelors degree by age 25 cause thats the cut off age for the USAF.

It was 397 per month when I started, at least you'll have a place to stay and all the food you can stand, and at least when I started different specialties have promotions right out of basic. My son-in law is in the Army @ E-3 right now and is doing ok money wise of course you can always use more. He is married, living off base with a child on the way. Officer is better way to go though if you can. You try ROTC? Get 'em to pay for your college if you can.

yeah i know i should be greatful for a roof over my head and the pay i'm getting. i havn't done ROTC yet cause i believe you have to enlist if you take that class. so ROTC will be last on my agenda. They will want me to get my basic over with during the summer before i have my degree. i don't wanna jump that far ahead yet.
