Kim and I have been trying to contact him as well.............I think he went under-cover and is preparing a sneak attack on the TN HP.

 

His last post was around 8/18 and I have sent him a couple of pms with no responce. No one loves the Dragon more than John. Hope he has just been busy. Car 54 where are you?

 

He hasn't been on the forum since 9/4 according to his profile. I've called him a couple times & haven't gotten a response. I hope everything is ok with him. Hopefully life has just been very busy for him lately & we will still see him at the Dragon. Is his room still reserved @ Fontana?

I just confirmed with the lodge...he does have a reservation at the lodge and made it in July.
They are all excited to see us all rolling in next weekend to !!!

 

I hear you John. There are a number of us with equal enthusiasm but none with greater love than John Book. Loved his comment about "The Run" he made with Hcarter and me. He said doing the dragon with others was fun but with us it was flat out work. Btw this time we need to find time for you to tweak my cheap radio. Less than a week now. See you all soon.

Good move Kim, let us know. It is way to close to the dragon for him not to be on here giving Nick a hard time.

 

I called the number he called me from after the spring Dragon and the voicemail greeting is that of a woman.

 

Ok guys - I have the skinny on John. As for the phone number confusion, he changed his phone number a few months ago. I talked to him tonight & he has been very busy lately. He did tell me about a scheduling conflict that has come up for the weekend of the Dragon. He works a certain event every year for the last 11 years & he thought it was the weekend AFTER the Dragon. As it turns out it is the same weekend as the Dragon. He just found this out a few weeks ago. He said that he is trying to work something out but it doesn't look too hopeful. I promised him that if he isn't able to make it that I was sure that a few of us could be be persuaded to go to NC in the spring for a "mini-Dragon". He promised to log on soon & was very humbled that he had an entire thread dedicated just to his location.

 

I am glad to hear he is OK, but sorry to hear that he may not make it to the Dragon. Whew..... At least I can quit wondering about a possible alien abduction.

 

I don't think John would allow himself to be probed .... not that there's anything wrong with that.

Kim, thanks for the detective work. I heard you were good at that. Glad John is ok. The probe thing was too funny. I imagened a look of sheer terror on his face. Btw that was the same look he had when he was behind us on the Dragon

Howard, he will be missed for sure. Maybe he can work it out and make the trip. Several other n/as looking to take his place. What ever happens it will be fun. Can't wait to see how yours takes the turns now and I won't have to wait long.

Boilerxf John, you know any one with a black coupe with 20" chrome wheels, and serious driving skills that could fill in for Book?

I only know of one black XF with 20s that will be running with the 'bigkids' (pun intended LOL). Look for the pretty blonde and the goofy looking balding 20 something LOL
