Default Crossfire + AMX [pic]

Sure some of you may be interested, since there seem to be at least a couple AMX fans hanging around:
My 04 XFire (bought it last week - loving it so far ) and my parents' 69 AMX 390 (both freshly waxed) pose together for some photos.

Welcome to the forum Bri3d. You're correct, there are at least 3 of us here on the forum who currently own 2 seater X's from Kenosha, and several members who are former AMX owners.
I have to say, it's been a long time since I've seen an AMX sporting genuine "Turbo Cast" wheel covers like the ones on your Parents car. I would think they're pretty rare. Oh, and the car looks great by the way.
Here's an old thread you might enjoy, it pretty much sums up the way I feel about my Crossfire.

Hello and welcome to the forum, both cars looking great, I also have the pleasure of owning the 4 seater version of the AMX, a 68 Javelin SST and it came with the original Turbo Cast caps as well and I even have a couple of extra sets, dont see them very much though since eveyone wants some kind of different wheels and changes them. The original owner worked at the plant and ordered the car just for him, it still has his working name tag on the rear view mirror for him to have access to the plant. Its always nice to see another fellow AMC supporter.

I still dont understand. How did you own 397 AMX's????? Were you some sort of dealer, or owned each one for a week?

I bought them fixed them sold them and they paid for my racing for 20 years. also bought 600 Javelins that i used for parts. the most at one time was 32,, that week my wife almost divorced me for having so many cars in the yard. jim
