You can avoid all these issues completely by letting them all come stay with me for the winter! I am just now starting to drive mine again because it is cooling off. I had driven my car 1 time since June when I went to the Dragon October 1st. She just sits while we all melt. Too hot in the day & too wet at night to drive those drop tops.
So let them all head down here .... balmy days, cool evenings, pina coladas & hanging out poolside. I promise, they will have a GREAT time!!
Haven't used my xFire much this summer but loved every minute that I did. Rode my Goldwing 19.0000 miles and that doesn't leave much time for the xFire. BUT I HAVE IT Wondering if anyone uses Amsoil in there cars. It meets all of the requirements and then some. Also, if ones only put a couple thousand miles on the car and it is a heated garage all winter how often should the oil be changed?
Thanks for the answers in advance

I probably put 3500-4000 miles on the 07 Coupe every year. Keep it typically covered up during the winter season, which isn't that long around here in SC & typically isn't that severe either. Take the car out for a spin every couple of weeks. Keeps everything flowing, enables me to wash & clean the car, and I just can't keep from driving it for any extended period of time. Usually change the oil every couple of years, or when the FSS says it's time. Car just turned 10k during the Fall ToD event and I've only changed the oil (Mobil 1 0w40) 1X since I've owned it (2 years).
I use Stabil and add a bottle of stuff that gets ride of water in the tank. I beliieve it is HEET. I run HEET just before I store the cars.
I use HEET during the really cold months of winter (i.e., JAN-FEB). And I typically use a bottle of fuel system cleaner every 4 months in all my vehicles.
I use STABIL in my bikes during the winter, since I store them from about Turkey Day until 1st of March. And I've never had any issues starting the bikes after an extended storage or had any fuel system issues.

Off Topic - Roberta & I agree with Kim. Right now is the best time of year for the "topless" rides. We probably spend more time in our 06 VW New Beetle Convertible than anything else we have in the fleet. Went to a VW NB GTG down at Dreher Island State Park a few weeks back and we were the only "drop top" bug that showed up. Berta likes it when she's the only one topless in the group!!! I gotta talk to her about that!!
