Australia should be complemented for having the guts to "show it like it is" , getting this campaign out to all of its drivers by airing it nationwide on TV and in cinemas .... this will have a tremendous impact on all who see it.

Our 16 yearold daughter just got her license last month. She just watched the clip with me and was moved. hell, Im a retired cop and it made me shutter as well! Not just the accidents but the aftermath of the families.

You know how the ripple effect works. perhaps your posting this will someday be just the thing that causes my baby to make a smarter lifesaving decision.

I remember one from the late 60's early 70's that never made an impact on me until I got hit by a car on my motorcycle. After that it was, that's exactly what it looks like! Who would have known it. I wish I could find it for all to see. I'll keep searching.

That video made my heart skip a beat. Very moving and something that needs to been seen by anyone that drives. You're are a wielding a lethal weapon when you operate a motor vehicle under the influence. I just thank the Lord that in the past, I didn't injure or kill myself, or even worse, someone else. Something that you have to live with everyday for the rest of your life and I hope you all know that if any of you ever need a sober ride, I'll come pick you up and take you home. It might take me a few hours to get there but I'll make the drive for any of you.

We would have to presume that some of the more violent clips were recreations (at least we hope) ... but how they were recreated is stunning.

Sadly, I'm not sure if the greedy American televised media would settle for running a five minute ad or PSA. Would they?

This is a very moving video Gary, more people should see it. Unfortunatly there still is a big "that can't happen to me " crowd out there that is tough to convince.

 

A friend of mine had his only daughter and only grandchild killed when a drunk T-boned them. His only son had been killed in a motorcycle accident two years before.
I went to both funerals, what can you say to the parents? They were devastated, how can you ever get over that?

I see this all the time living in East Lansing (where Michigan State University is located). It's astounding to me to see how many people are on the roads after a bar night. Thankfully, the local PD force doubles on those nights but still. People just don't think.

Do something simple and leave your keys at home. Takes two seconds and forces you to find a different way home aka A CAB.
