My next car will be a Mercedes SL55...I've been wanting one for a while and the prices on a 03-05 are getting close to what I can afford...I purchased my SRT6 instead of waiting to get the SL55 because I figured it would be harder to find a SRT6 Roadster in the future...There are plenty of SL55's out there

Well I had a pretty nice looking XF and did loose it. Now there is a graphite XF in its place

In the future, I WILL have a Subaru WRX STi 5 door hatch 6 speed, but for now the XF is keeping me busy, and I must say, the reason I do not have one in the garage right now (test drove it between XFs) is this group of people, hell even in this thread alone, I can count no less than 5 guys I have shared MANY beers with, and you can not put a price on that.....

Another fun choice might be a poor man,s Lamborgini
A Fiero powered kit car. Has anyone ever driven one?

I cannot afford a real one.
First, they are too damm expensive for my wallet.
Two, the insurance alone would bankrupt me.
Three, Crumpy would have to have one of her own that was faster.

Maybe the V tail Bonanza would be cheaper.

I think if Bat lost her Crossfire, at first she would do a happy dance, as soon as the insurance cleared the loan off, and it was dragged away to points unknown.

After that, she's completely torn between a whole slew of nice cars.

She loves the Cayman/Boxster.
She also has had a growing interest in the Mini Cooper S.
If you gave her a Ferrari California or a Maserati GranTurismo, she wouldn't kick it out of the driveway, but it would either need to be free, or a lottery ticket that won big money would have to be responsible.

BC.

Pontiac G8 GT or GXP. 6.0 Liter V8, American muscle car. Test drove two before I got the Crossfire. Great handling cars, felt well built, very comfortable ride and it seems like a good after market support. I'll stick with the Crossfire for now; the people and the cars create a great community here.

That's why I revived it Green G.lol
A few of the forum members who posted in that thread are still around. I'd like to hear if they still feel the same.
My own personal choices have changed as well.
3 years ago, I never would have considered a Hyundai, but now I think I'd really enjoy a 3.8 Genesis Coupe. Unique styling, great performance, still pretty rare. (At least around here).
I really like the Challengers too, but would be even more interested if they did a vert.
Totally love the Cayman, still remains my favorite Porsche of all time. But even if I could afford it, I'd probably pass.
Thankfully, (even though there are a lot of great cars to choose from out there) nothing has piqued my interest enough for me to give up my Crossfire. That fact alone has saved me 1000's of dollars.

Off topic: Green, I think that photo of your car parked at the car show between a 67 Vette and the Mustang, epitomizes the "Retro" beauty of the Crossfire. It fits in so naturally, it's obvious that's what the "Creator" intended.

Yep, that's the one i've had my eye on for a while. I test drove one last year and it's pretty nice. Even if i did buy the Cayman, I would buy another xf and restore it (as necessary). This car is has been much more than i expected it to be. reliable, roomie enough for my needs (yeah i travel alone a lot - loner) and just enough performance to enjoy myself without killing myself. I don't ever plan on selling it.
