Default Getting new paint job...any suggestions?

I have a 04 Sapphire Blue Crossfire and its getting repainted this week.. The body shop asked me what I thought about painting everyting blue including the grill and the windshield trim piece.... Im ok with the grill and keeping the silver edging but I"m not so sure about the windshield piece... ... Has anyone ever seen a crossfire painted totally the same color as the car? Give me your thoughts asap...Think they are spraying it Friday.

Why are you painting? If the rest of the car looks like the one view you show, why not have a top detail pro buff it all out. May be more expensive then a regular detail job, but a lot cheaper then a whole paint job. Just my $0.02

Edit: It's kind of wierd ..... you show 25 posts, and when searching for them, only 4 show up.

Photo comments in the Gallery add to the count too.

I found a pic on facebook, I think, where a guy painted his windshild surround the same color. It looked pretty good. One thing to consider is that the strakes, grill, wheels, surround and door handles all blend together to balance out the trim on the car. Start covering up or painting and you disrupt the eyeflow. I ended up in this position and now I am painting my door handles red and then there will be no more factory silver on the car.

I painted my surround but missed the color match by a shade, it looked OK but in my opinion, leave them silver or get the chrome overlay, I love mine!!

While he's at it ya might consider painting your engine cover to match the car. Its simple and looks great

Good call on the engine cover. I happen to like the all one color theme and its not just becouse I have a base. with the color of you Xfire I'm not sure that painting the grill the same color would work. IMO

I say you paint it the same color. That's a great color, and you will have a nicer job without having to repaint door jams and inside the hood/trunk.
