Default All time high gas prices here...

I am sure this is not high for some, but for this area, we are at an all time high. Can't imagine why the oil company profits are at an all time high as well? We will pay it and like it !!!!!

Our local "pure gas" station just hit $4.139 yesterday!!!
That's the highest I've ever seen, here in central Oklahoma.

Whatever you guys in the high price sections of the country do, don't look at prices here in Colorado. Don't do it. It will make you sick.

Oh, and don't move here and buy up all our gasoline, either.

BC.

$4.45/gal. is the average around here for 91 oct. I called the area 100 oct. race gas supplier and his pump price is $60.00/5 gals. minimum.

$4.00 even for premium (93) here in Little Rock. I think I paid 3.74 for 87 in my dumb rental car yesterday. That's the only thing I'll miss about this HHR I'm in.. 29.5 mpg mixed.. 450 miles on a tank of gas.

3.95 here in Mpls. I understand the oil economists are playing with trying to find that perfect penny where demand is maximized and therefore maximum dsales without a corresponding drop. they know the magic number, outside of speaking for local taxes is about 4.00 a gal where people will change their habits marginally more than the price increase but where it is exactly to maximize is up for question. however with the holidays coming up, airfare travel is high cost and time is not conducive either, driving tripswill be up too, so price probably will be also.

I saw regular at $4.03 near Warm Springs, GA Saturday.

What bugs me, is that when it gets to $3.50 a gallon two thing will happen:

1) We'll be "happy".

2) Due to 1) above, that will become the new normal price.

And you can't pay $3.50 a gallon and still have a healthy economy.

This gives a new meaning to Walk for Health. Walk for economic health too - when you can. Unfortunatley this is not as often as I would like. Paid $4.13 on Fri in southeast NC. Alicia

PS - So how much is the 'what a cool car' comment worth? For the on-lookers, it's free!
