That's a good article, they could have added the fuel filter as well.

I agree. I've only had one instance where a fuel filter got glogged enough to give me an issue. On my 1995 Jeep Wrangler Rio Grande, the fuel filter got clogged enough several years back that starting the vehicle became a troublesome issue. It was taking several cranks to get sufficient fuel to the throttle body. Changed the fuel filter and hard starting problem was gone. Only time I can recall having to change the fuel filter. Any other time I've changed it was because I thought it was a good thing to do. Besides, gas quality (lack of contaminants) today is significantly better than years ago. No more metal underground tanks was a big improvement.
