After a mandatory evacuation (I didn't leave) the Crossy's and I are alright!
Barely had time to send the boys off with the important stuff much less save the Crossfires. Glad the air tankers bombed the hell outta the flames that were threatening the homes in our area! Came within 1/3 of a mile from us.

Thanks Bob.
It was really quite an experience. I was at work and found out that the fire had spread and I left work only to find that most roads into my area were blocked because of the fire. Finally got home and got the boys out (my most prized possessions) and decided to ignore orders to evacuate to see if I might be able to save everything else. Was treated to a fantastic air show (while avoiding the cops) from the tanker crews flying rooftop high to save our area of town.
Really makes you stop and think what could have happened. Glad we are ok and glad I can share this with you folks.

Nope! She was in the garage. If things had gone bad that would of been her final resting place.
It's BAAAAAAAAAACK!

Neighbors have already evacuated. I stayed and watched as the south side of town burned (photo). Winds were too high for the tankers to get airborne so it just burned. Terrible.
Spent my father's day putting a sprinkler system on top of the house. Had too many sprinklers and not enough water pressure. Made some adjustments and now it looks like if needed, it will work.
Bet the neighbors think I'm nuts!

Glad it all worked out for you. You are a braver man than I. I would have grabbed my favorite ride, thrown some of my favorite things in the trunk and beat feet.
Man I'm watching this thing on TV right now. The shot that Fox news just showed looks exactly like the one you posted. Is Fox news sit'n in your front yard? My thoughts are with you. I hope all works out for you and yours. Stay Safe, no sense in risk'n your life for stuff!!
Oh I almost forgot, nice idea for the sprinkler system. Looks professional. You mite want to patient that thing!
