Why Don't We Do This?
Quite a few XFires on the North side of Indianapolis...
I get a wave from one or two I see on a regular basis, mostly guys. Most of the women are oblivious. I am not trying to be sexist, just stating my experience with the XF around town. I drove up to a woman in one of my customers' parking lots and she had her windows down in a stock black coupe, I said nice car and she looked at me like I asked her to smell my cloroform rag
I was driving this....

I thought for sure I would at least get a hello, silly me.

I'll bet a buck or two hers was unmodded and needed a wash.

As a little boy, in Texas, my Dad always taught me to wave to other people that you shared something with, even if it was just having a nice drive. I always wave if I see a XF, or nice car in general. I think being friendly is something that is good to learn, just like helping others. I remember being 5-6 yrs old , on vacation and my Dad stopping to help someone with a flat or blown rad hose. I remember others stopping to help our family under the same situation. Different time i guess, but I will wave just the same.
i live in New York and i see at least 1 crossfire a week and whenever i do i give a wave. only once have i gotten a wave back. i don't know if its because of my young age that people think "oh young kid driving a nice car he's probably being a smart ***" when its the complete opposite. seeing as a good 98% of the members on the forum are older than me, what would you guys think if a young kid driving an XF gave you a wave?
I'm hoping its just the stuck up New Yorkers that act like this

Age shouldn't matter at all. Give a wave..........
Now, if you are a young good looking lady, all of us .......er......more mature males would like wave quite enthusiastically

We will let you know LOL
I passed an Alabaster White Crossfire today and I waved. They gave me the "Why the hell is that man waving at me?" look. I then realized I wasn't in a Crossfire. LOL I'm sure they thought I was a wack job.

I find crossies most often when I am driving the truck or riding in Crumpy's minivan. I wave and they roll up their windows. Quick.
Embarrasing.

I know in farm country, regardless of which state I've been in, the people are always doing the "farmers wave" as my Ruth puts it. As a farmers daughter I take it as a compliment when she says you got that farmers wave down pretty good.

That's how excited I get when a see a Crossy on the road!
Of course I'd tell the driver that my name was PizzaGuy or something goofy like that.
While I was out test driving my black roadster on 96th street, I saw 2 Aero Blue crossfires driving down the street together (this was May 13th). Too bad I was going the other way, or I would have taken the salesman for an extended test drive. Ended up buying it and loving it ever since (firgured it was a sign seeing those 2)
