Funny, I live in Fairfield county, CT which is pretty much a bedroom community for NYC and in the past 5 years I've probably seen three Crossfires of any sort around here. Since I bought my SRT6 in April, I've seen two. Both were SSB like mine. One was a Base or Limited and one was an SRT6. Both were headed the opposite direction in heavy traffic. My reaction time was too slow to get the initial wave off. I would certainly wave to another Crossfire or return the wave if they initiated a greeting. That's one of the things I enjoyed about my S2000. Guys and even women seemed to have no problem pulling up beside me at a light and chatting about our cars before we zipped off to wherever we each were headed.

 

Very rare to see Crossfires in these parts but yesterday I saw a grey coupe driving west on Fry Blvd. I was going east. I yelled "Crossfire" at the driver as we went by each other. He probably though I was a nut.
Today I saw a red roadster (top up?) coming towards me on 7th Street. I flashed my lights and stuck my hand over the windshield (top down) and waved. She waved back! Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeet!

 

Today I saw a black roadster in Orland Park, IL. I beeped and waved and they waved back. I have always gotten a wave or beep from all the fellow Crossfire owners I come across (except for the few who really didn't see me). I really enjoy it when they wave back. It's similar to the motorcycle drivers in my area who give each other a "low wave" when passing each other. I've seen this hundreds of times... Cool....

 

I saw one about a month ago sitting in traffic on I-65. Older gentleman that still had the paper plate on his roadster. I had the top down, he didn't. I tried to wave at him as he was in the right lane and I was in the left. He never looked over or aknowledged I was there... sadness... We were standing still too

 

I'll wave next time...lol.....j/k, it wasn't me...

 

Nice to see yet another Indy XF around on the forum. I am in a highly modifed graphite coupe and I wave when I see other XFs

If you ever want to grab a beer or take a cruise, we have a few members around that like to get together when we can....

 

I've had people totally ignore me and not look over and I've had people wave back. I guess it's like flipping a quarter. Lol. Personally, I get excited everytime I see a Crossfire.

 

Saw another black roadster, paper plates on 56th st. I would love to sometime. I've been doing searches to see if anyone from indy gets together. Let me know of the next meet!
