How's Life?
Well, took some time away from CrossfireForum, but didn't plan to. I am back at work today, I was released from the hospital Sunday after a 5 day stay. Not feeling 100% yet, but way better than when I went in. I was dehydrated and suffering from a "functional intestinal obstruction".
They pumped my stomach for 48 hours and treated me with various drugs (morphine is WONDERFUL for pain!) Doctor's consensus is about 95% that I got BAD food last Monday, but it could have been a virus or bacterial (altho they found nothing in my blood to support that idea). Docs say we may never know. NEVER been so sick, never even been in the hospital overnight before.
I must say that I have nothing but good to say for the doctors and nurses of my local hospital. And I'll also say that you never feel as good as you feel good after you have felt awful. I have about 2 1/2 weeks to get back to a normal diet, but I'm fine with that. I've lost 15 pounds so far.

I've been trying to shed 15 lbs. You are welcome to them.
Glad you're up and running again. Food poisoning can be a B!tch and often goes undiagnosed until toolate.
Glad you passed that bar and recovered.
Get well my friend. Dragon time a'comin.

Thanks, all. No Al, they gave me drugs in my I.V. (remember, my stomach was off limits!)
I'm saving some money - haven't been in a restaurant in over a week now. I'm told to avoid them for at least two more weeks because of the "unknowns" (fat, grease, MSG, etc.) that they might be putting in them.
No fried foods for two weeks, and even then, I am to go back to them SLOWLY. My cholesterol will be about 100 by then.

Hey Pizza Guy - just read about your illness and I hope you are doing better - and are well on the mend! Looks like the estimated 2 weeks healing time is just about up - I'm hoping the docs are right and you are back in high form.
