Be careful here, as James has been to dozens upon dozens of XF events, he is well aware of the community aspect the forum has - and I tend to agree with him. If I am going to discuss most of these topics, it is man to man, generally while enjoying a cold adult beverage...

In an ad of 1936 it said that we would never tax you more than 3 cents, 6 cents for both employer and employee and that you'll never pay more than 3000 into this. But by 1945 that had already been changed and now the taxes are roughly triple that and benefits increased enormously.

It is not as cut and dried as some would have some believe. The fact is that we had dem basically controlled presidency's as well as congresses from 1935 through 1968, and that's whe the biggest changes occurred. By 2023 at this point there is estimated to be insolvency.

it isn't a strict ponzi scheme but close to it, where the difference remains that the fed doesn't have to rely on new entrants to pay for it, it can merely print more money to pay for it, which is what they've been doing all along.

And as far as this being in the general, I agree, move it to politics because it belongs there. But for our brother James who calls it "crap", i beg to differ as it is extremely important stuff to even attemot to understand.
If it is a ponzi scheme, then just like anything else our government does, it is poorly managed. Not enough new suckers at the bottom of the pyramid to pay off those at the top, let alone skim a take.

Just like our government to screw up something so simple.

I'm sure he does boiler, and there are two communitiesthat I'm speaking of, the ones in e-land and the one in real land. And of course while you may prefer discussing these topics vis a vis, there are others who like to do it that way and via keyboard. That james sees community as a result of going to lots and lots of XF events, doesn't detract from my personal sense of community, nor does it say that my "community" is less than his. All we were disussing is that james prefers a car forum that generally only speaks cars, while I prefer, and I'm going to imply others do too, based on experience, a forum that encompasses other area of interests that have in common the car as it's base. And it was obvious that he generally believes to be any political talk on this forum area to be crap. That's fine, I don't. And that's why I also agreed with him, besides his other points that this particular thread should be moved. I didn't place it here, it was probably more or less of a mistake, and therefore no harm was intended.

to be sure, james has contributed really good car stuff, as you have too, and most of the folks have, great forum, great people, superb knowledge, and we all love the cars, except maybe the one who owned Christine, LOL! That's all.

I will agree to disagree.

Now for fun: Wikipedia,

Crap, a slang word for feces, also used to describe something substandard.

I do believe if you ask the great people of this nation about politicians, they will consider them today, politely as substandard... which causes politics to be crap.

Now you've got it, James. You should contribute more to the Politics Forum.

Let's just recall billi789's first encounter with the love we all share here.

That a**hole Rick Perry said yesterday that you people (military, I assume) are too stupid and unprofessional to respect the CIC. He may be correct. And what difference does it make whether he served or not. Bush served, sorta, and killed and permanently maimed more American servicemen and women with idiotic decisions like invading Iraq than all other presidents since Viet Nam.

Here's the thing about you "conservative" patriots: You were just a bunch of unwashed, low-literacy, white rednecks until President Blackie McBlackman got elected by a majority of American citizens in a real election.

Now, you've all become economists and social scientists called "conservatives" this past 3 years. I'll bet most of you have a GED or H.S. diploma and have never read a book on economic theory, social systems, banking & finance, history, political science or anything else that requires critical thinking.

And the worst part about it is you are on this public forum touting your military experience and alleged knowledge of what constitutes a good CIC, while he fights two and half wars, gives a green light to shooting Osama Bin Laden in the face and dumps his body in the ocean and you whiny, little b*tches have the nerve to come on here and make seditious, treasonous remarks for the rest of us to smell.

If you want to know what hell feels like, get drafted and sent to Viet Nam when you're 18 years old and the CIC? Richard Nixon! Do you think I laid on the ground and pounded my little fists when I would put down the wrench and flew medivac trips at night? Do you babies think for one minute that I hurried and thought about Nixon and said,"No way, man! I don't really care for our current CIC?"

You people are a joke and should be ashamed of yourselves. And the guy you take marching orders from got out of the draft for having an infected pimple on his a**. Read about Ted Nugent's trip to the Induction Center sometime, fake patriots.

Oh, and by the way walrus face, I drive a 2004 Crossfire Coupe.
Welcome. We still love you anyway.

And I stand by every word, although unlike certain "unwashed, low-literacy rednecks," I kept it over there, in the Politics latrine you guys dug, where it belongs.

Interesting, since your 2009 join date, you've had a whopping 17 posts in non-political threads.

https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum...archid=1432838

The other ~80% of your posts are in the "political latrine" that you despise so much.

Why spend so much time with people you despise, in an area you hate? Unlike you, I can ask that question without the urge to call you "unwashed" or "illiterate".

Typically, those who use offensive language the most are those who have the smallest expanse in vocabulary...
