Earthquakes!!!
What the heck, blazing heat during most of the summer and now, earthquakes!!!
OK, you've got our attention, now what?
A 5.6 magnitude hit last night at 10:53 local time, about 55 miles east from us, as the crow flies. Shook the house for at least 40 seconds, quite strange I can tell you. Woke up DC from a deep sleep, I was still watching the OSU win over Kansas.

5.6.?? Yaaaaawn...
Won't even get out of bed until the pictures are shaking off the wall, and then only to steady the big screen TV...
On the bright side of a big earthquake; - you come home and all your "Stuff" is still in a nice neat little pile.
Not blown over three counties or floating down the river to the Gulf of Mexico..

2012 baby 2012!
Grab yer guns and get in yer bunker. Galactic alignment is coming. Mayan calendar is counting down the end of time. Global warming! Earthquakes! Drought! Hurricanes! Tornados! Tsunamis! Solar flares! Coronal mass ejections! Steve Jobs is dead! Worldwide economic turmoil! Worldwide political unrest!
Just thought this needed to be injected at some point.
5.6 is no biggie like the great east coast earthquake a few months ago. Luckily, they weren't any stronger and they are not all that frequent. Then again, I'll bet that Oklahoma like the east coast, doesn't have California equivalent building codes that address earthquakes.
