Default watch yer mouth

Yesterday I took my 17 y/o daughter out in Nina to do some shopping in the town next to us. The town has it's good qualities but is basically starting to overflow with Joe Dirts...to be polite.

I had gotten into the car when I noticed my daughter talking to a guy and his ?wife. When she got inside I asked her what he wanted? He had asked, "Are those f%@K!n skull emblems on the front of your car? "They look Fu#^in cool"

Bear in mind my daughter is very petite and could eaisily pass for a 15 y/o.
What kind of idiot would talk like that to a young teen? If I had been outside the car I sure would of said something about it.

So glad we didnt move to that town

The percentage is disturbingly high. The language choices might have been different if you (an old fa%t) were present?

He could have at least said "Friggin" instead! By the way, nice Friggin' skull!

The word is used by the youth and many others to emphasize their statements, among her peers your daughter may use the word and think nothing of it. That's just the way it is, other words and terms have replaced the F word for shock value.

I personally do not like ladies swearing and do not swear in their company, but I am a genuine old fart.

Oral art is going away as has handwriting. Now it's texting. Soon the wrist phone voice actuated, if it's not here now.

I'm only ten years out of high school, but even then, one F-bomb per sentence was considered modest.

I'm sure your daughter wasn't psychologically impacted from hearing it 1,001 times in a week as opposed to the 999 she's used to at her school. I'd simply ignore it.

But yes, I agree, the older guy should have had the maturity and dignity to be more gentle. If, for no other reason, to respect you since you're within earshot of your daughter.

Riding the subway in DC everyday with DC public school kids, I hear my fair share of f-bombs, s-bombs, and many others. I wonder how they expect to get/keep a job talking like that all the time, and it's often because their parents speak that way and they think it's "cool".

I find it annoying.
