Just think Bluecoupe, if you were a Moderator you would have the ability to remove all the nonsense from this thread.

I don't think removing posts against one personally is right, but...geeeeez, guys. I've been flamed and I wouldn't do it, but Andrew has been here longer, and done more for us and the forum than most of us together.

'Nuff said.
My sentiments exactly. I got my sticker and I hope to never have to use it. But, it's there if I do.

I can only say that others would not be able to have three selling threads active on the forum that are not in the items for sale forum. What would happen if someone posted a for sale thread in the Coupe section, it would be moved that's what.

I see too many threads here that could be interpreted as blowing smoke up a$$es.

Not too much of that Yankee fair play attitude to be seen here and I thought Canadians were too easy going.

I think you should be banned for inciting the masses to rebel.
That's a capital offense in some countries.
Maybe that's a too political statement, I'd better watch my mouth.

Dave, You have been a victim of this "censorship" as well.

So have many of us. If they don't like what you believe or what you say, they cut it. It's their Forum.

Post counts are down. Lots of visitors, but fewer members participating. I wonder how many potential new friends are missed and how many old freinds are putting their ideas and energies elsewhere.
First they went for the political forum.

Don't worry, this thread will be locked and deleted permanently with many who posted negativism threatened with being banned; me included now.

I've gotten so frustrated with the community of the inner circle who is in control but seldom visits the forum, that I seldom check it anymore. I actually thought I responded to my wife with "I don't care" when she said "crossfire" as one was parking in a shopping center near us because of them; however it is mostly because I'm tired of the one's who give you a stink eye when you wave etc. I won't reach out to them anymore.

The bottom line, I won't abandon my love of this car or the friendship and love I have for many of the members I've met because of a few who I believe shouldn't even be a part of this forum unless it has been sold to them...which I doubt it has, due to the obvious conflict of interest they have.

I know I should probably just let sleeping dogs lie. But this thread has bothered me from day one, and I just can't let it go.
I can see where Bluecoupe has a legitimate gripe, and I have no idea as to why Andrew chose to do what he did. (Maybe he simply felt bluecoupes post was demeaning to the Chinese).
But to imply that he erased a negative post (or an entire thread) simply because he felt it was detrimental to his highly lucrative decal business is simply ludicrous.
Andrew is and always has been a cornerstone of this forum ever since I've been here, and his motives and integrity have never been in question.
The fact that he no longer owns a Crossfire and still chooses to frequent this forum having any significance totally elludes me. If anybody thinks he chooses to be here only for monetary gain, then you're sadly mistaken.
Andrew is a true automotive enthusiast, and enjoys taking part not only in our forum, but others as well. His contributions are quite often invaluable. He's the kind of guy who will drop everything and go completely out of his way to help someone, in anyway he can. Just because that's the kind of guy he is.
Trust me, we need him (and more people like him) here, more than he needs us.
Frankly I wouldn't blame him one bit if after this tirade against him, he simply told the Crossfire community to F-off and disappear. But he's too classy of a guy to ever do that.
What I don't understand, is the seemingly "mean spirited" tone of this entire thread. Where it sounded (at least to me) like many of the those who posted had a grudge against him.
I'm not going to say anymore about it except this. If Andrew is guilty of abusing his powers as a Moderator, then the only person who has anything to say about it is the owner of this forum, Julian. As far as I know, he has no problem with the way Andrew conducts his affairs, and that should be the end of it.

Thanks Mike for sharing your perspective, I guess it just depends on which end of the stick you are on.

Actually, it boils down to who your friends really are. It is a car forum.... Things get offered up for sale on here all the time...some vendors, some not, some things over-priced, some not.... It is a simple choice whether you want to purchase or not...but someone, not just one, but someone always has to get on here and bash the price, or get offended when they don't agree with the listing. It is just that simple. How many times has someone listed their car for sale only have many, jump on here and tell them it is too much. Too much to you maybe.... I have paid top dollar many times for things from people on here I have met, that I wouldn't have paid for, say on ebay, or craigs list, just because they were friends.... That is what this forum is supposed to be about, but it hasn't been lately, and lately I have thought about moving on....but , I still have some friends left here.... Andrew is one of them...

X2 Doc. Andrew is and always has been a stand-up gentleman. I'm sure his intent was to moderate negativity in a thread. In hindsight the only thing he should have done differently was to ask one us to moderate the thread to remove any subjectivity.
