Default Dragon Featured On Hell Roads

Tonight @ 9pm EST on the Discovery Channel. I understand that US129 PHOTO assisted in the filming. Hope they have some great footage.

I watched the segment tonight....
Pretty cool to see a road profiled that I and many others here have driven on several times and twice a year and have for the past 4 years !!!

I saw it. Was cool, since it was "Hell Roads" they focused more on the dangerous aspect. They have some nice shots of people going down on their bikes.

I was a little dissappointed in the episode. I was hoping for dangerous roads like the Dragon. Instead most were dirt trails that they try to fit big rigs on. They didn't show a single road in Europe

Killboy and Deals Gap got the best coverage. I was impressed that it got as much air time as it did. It's showing again on Feb 4th @ 1pm EST.

I see that no Crossfires were harmed in the making of this video.

Although it seems we lose one or two during each Fontana event, it is seldom on the Tail. I hope that trend continues. And we have fewer get hurt anywhere.

Be safe out there felllas. Don't drive like me .

I watched that the other night also. I didn't realize you guys were having to dodge so many Big Rigs & Rice Rockets. Is it really as bad as they depicted? Perhaps they should make that a toll road (small amount, $1. or $2.,that's cheap for an E-Ticket ride) and turn back any big rigs that are too long from rear axle to kingpin; because they should not be allowed on that stretch of road. The revenue could help w/ keeping the Dragon safe and pothole free. On second thought, that would probably attract more authority......... never mind, sorry.

Gravity Cavity has always been my favorite section. Beginner's End never gave me a fit.

I don't recall mile marker 5 being such a PITA, perhaps I need to go back to check it out.

About three miles in (from TN to NC) there's a spot where I almost bought the white one last year, coming in at night. Super-sharp U-turn that is downhill, then turns uphill. The yaw sensor did not like that one bit

There are plenty of warning signs, andthe Truckers community is not unaware of the dangers. But trucker, esepecialy OTR independents, are stubborn breed of machos guys that take the warningthreats and danger as a challenge.

The video makes it appear like there are a lot of these fools on the Dragon. Not so. But, it only takes the one to mess up your day.

the police are there a lot on any of those blind corners...so the radar detectors do come in handy in this atmosphere...as for the trucks...well...a nice big warning sign close to Marysville would end that...but I quess no jurisdiction cares. So, their gps will take them there if it is set on "the shortest route"... Now my trucker gps I used last year, took me out of the way and tried to bring me in to the lodge from the south. I missed my usual turn and took us out of the way not realizing I had not changed over to a "car" setting... so the newer software is taking you away from the Dragon...once I changed over to car settings, we found our way back to the lodge, after some detouring...lol...
