But I digress. BTW, I've had my chops busted by my supposed friends on here many times, and really when you put it into context it's just about not having too thin of a skin wile you're learning.
it's not about who started it and then carring it forward, it's really better to consider the source in your own mind. The thing I was trying to get across is that the younger folks today are so quick to make sure they don't come across as a pushover. We all did that, it's part of finding your place. In reality, there is NO pecking order to deal with, we just think there is. And like John said, welcome to the forum.

About half of the flareups come from misunderstood levity. The other half comes from someone poking someone else with a small stick. For those that don't like being poked with a small stick just remember that the stick is not real. I personally don't care which form of flareup it is as I enjoy both of them the same.

But I also have seen where anyone who disagrees with someone is automatically labeled as 'rude' or 'snotty' or whatever. And no, not just HERE, but all over the damn internet.
I think most threads are about fact, truth, you know, information. Given that, it is HARD to not disagree when someone is, or appears to be, wrong!
Anyway, we rib one another, but we are all friends, right?

Well Max didnt like that to much. I wasn't being hostile to the person doing it, these headlights are expensive, so sawing it seems foolish. Max started this nonsense
And you are taking shots at OTHERS here? Jeeeeez!

You give your opinion about someone cutting a headlight open instead of baking it and you get yelled at like a child. I think I saw a little tiff like this occur between Mr.Miata and Boiler about a month or so ago (correct me if I'm wrong, just trying to remember off the top of my head) and I see it every so often. I've never understood why guys want to start up drama, it's a forum to help people find the best way to do things on their cars, not a place to act like a child and say negative things. I never saw this on my last forum where the crowd was all young people, so I have been pretty shocked to see it in older guys, who society deems to be more mature and respectful. Just shocking
uknowhim21, I was taught to respect my elders, those that have been around longer than I. It's not always about age but with it comes wisdom. It's your choice but you should really take that advice. It's not cyber-bullying and the fact that you bring this up really sours thing for me about the younger generations. I, along with many other members here on the forum have had to eat our humble pie when our post counts were low. Stupid questions are in fact real. So is the search button. The two are mysteriously linked to one another. When a member that has a post count above 1000 says something that you don't agree with, maybe take a step back and chew on it a while before you decide to spit it out or swallow it. The fact is the camaraderie of those on this site is some of the best I have ever had the opportunity to encounter and everyone is really just trying to help one another. I sold my Crossfires over a year ago but I still enjoy the real treat this site has to offer, just in smaller doses.
Twist, tangle, acknowledge or embrace it, however you see fit. I just hope you can take something positive away from both this topic you started and what other have added here on this forum.
Peace, I'm out!

Sounds delicious !!!!
IMO a thread with this title begs for a controversial discussion.
Was it really necessary to start it in the first place ??
Freedom of speech....carry on if you wish.
