Going up to Columbia SC yesterday for an appointment with a doctor, I thought for sure I would get popped. I was 20 minutes late leaving the house at a time when you should be leaving the house 20 minutes earlier. Suffice to say lunch hour traffic was heavy BUT super fast. At least 10 to 20 over the limit in various 60 down to 45 speed zones. I made a 50 minute trip in about 32 minutes during lunch hour. Damn if I would have gotten popped, it would not have been good because I had been in a pis-sy mood! Anyway, when I got there, I was actually 5 minutes early (approximately) and lo and behold, the appointment time of 1pm was actually just about when they called me in. Now, where does a 1 pm appointment time at a VA hospital EVER get seen within 5 minutes of its appointed time? The lord was looking out for me thats for sure...

Sure is good to see so many familiar friends in this thread !

Well, anyway, I quit caffeine last week as part of changes I'd like to make (and it's been linked to hypoglycemia, which I show some mild but aggravating sings of).
Also, I had my first Yoga class today - wish I'd started Yoga years ago! (Seriously, I loved it and my back felt BETTER after class - never expected that!)

Anyway, I'm off to Fontana around 6:30 in the morning, should be at the Gap by 9am. Forecast is for 67F and sun.

The powers that be managed to squeeze all the fun out of work for me. So I just got old and retired. They begged me stay another year or so but I was done. Why work if you don't enjoy it and you don't need to? I am sitting here in my underwear drinking coffee with a good slug of Baileys in it. This coffee does not seem to raise my tension level at all. I haven't had a ticket in 10 years. Hope I don't have 3 coming my way this week.

Including a gas stop and breakfast, I was at the gap in 2 hours and 10 minutes (arrived at 915). Temp was 41, it's 52 now. Sure is pretty outside!

Anyway, had the road to myself until 1030 - have seen two harleys and about 15 sportbikes as well as one Crossfire- they had never heard of our GTG here!

Anywya, I chased two bikes and kept up (not a pretty video, wait for it). Much to my surprise, the guys on the bikes are older than I am!
They came down from Cinncinati for the day, got here around 8:30 - great minds think alike!

Oh, and Deal's Gap closes today until March 1. There is snow on the Skyway, but they say it's not on the pavement, only on the hills around you.
Might run over there before going home.

In your Spaceport post you added a picture of your fellow class-persons.
Why did you not post that pic here.
Why should they get all the fun?

Nothing to do with Crossfires, but FP may like it.

If Twinkies act as a comfort food for you, we Canadians can ship them down to you. Eat to many and you will be known as Franc the tank.

More from my Spaceport post:

And, just so you know, the instructor of my Yoga class is a wonderful lady, about 5'10 and 90-100 pounds, great smile and very patient teacher. She's been practicing yoga 15 years. She is rather attractive and appears to be about 50 years old.

But the fact is, she is 71.

Hey guys, just checked my videos, I made it from the Overlook to the State line in just under 13 minutes. (Looks like 12:35 to be exact). Nick and Jason did it in 12:20 in their famous video - so I think I'm doing pretty good.

STILL have a lot to learn but all things considered, given my lack of HP, I think I did good today!

Oh, and I have a video of a guy who knows how to handle a Honda Goldwing. Gonna get both loaded to YouTube later in the week.
