My condolences..
My Dad passed this Oct. on the 22nd with me by his side. So I can say I know how it is to loose some one you care about in this world. But at least you can have the comfort of knowing he's gone home now to a better place. Sounds like he has many rewards to reap for the seeds he's planted here.
I have no doubts God will be there to comfort you and your family through this time.

Seems a lot of good men are called to sit with God and the angels lately. I pray you find comfort in the memories gathered throughout your life with this inspirational father you loved. I am also deeply saddened by the news this afternoon that the man I volunteered for at the base, who has been in ICU for over two weeks, that his wife had to cease the meds keeping him alive as he wished no extraordinary methods be used to sustain his life. SMSgt Robert Sullivan was a man who served his God, his Country, his family, his community and everyone he came into contact with above the needs of himself. Bob believed his eternal soul would live everlasting and we all were but short term tenants of this earthly body called earth. Like your father, he is now pain and worry free. Like a very close friend I've known since 1985 said this evening, we all have an expiration date.

May God carry each and every one who suffers a loss of this magnitude through the comfort of his Holy Spirit. May we be rewarded with the memories of the good, and be comforted in the knowledge that our loved ones are now free of all earthly burdens.

Thank you, Bob, you taught me something new each day we had the pleasure of interacting.

Ray,
I am sorry for your loss. I lost my Father in 2000 and still miss him everyday. I take comfort in the fact that one day we will be together again. Your tribute to your Father shows how much you loved him and I am sure that love was not just because he was your Father but, because he was also your friend and mentor. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
Michael

So sorry to hear about dad
Your summary of his life tells me what a fine man he was.
Also knowing you as we'll as I do and the kindness you have always shown to me and others makes me feel as if I sort of knew your dad to.
You and your family are in my thoughts during this difficult time my friend.
God bless all of you
Give Susan a hug for me to ok

I lost my dad many years ago, and this is the time of year I miss him most.

He sounds like the kind of guy I would have been happy and proud to know.

Tilt a jar for me?

Your father was obviously a great man, lived a FULL and love-filled life. He raised a great son I am proud to call a friend. Wishing nothing but good memories and peace for you and the family, Ray.

My condolences.
However, you do have many fond memories to fall back on.
In my case, I lost my dad when I was 6 years old, and what little memories I have are very fuzzy.
