It's always a good day
when I see another Crossfire. Today it was a red coupe - not the one of the owner I have identified. I know - sounds kinda 'stalkerish' - but not so.... I'm just always on the lookout for XFs on the road. This sighting was kinda disappointing as I have come to value the hi-sign we give to one another (yeah - acknowledging we smart owners of this great car) and there was none of that today. The owner passed me without a hitch. Then I was in the wrong lane to overtake....
Last week I had two sightings - both roadsters. That was a great day. I don't think either saw me - I was on a cross street. But I saw THEM!
All this to say - that I agree with all who have posted that when we see one another - show the pride, through a wave or a 'stop and talk' which has only happened to me once. It's fun and brings laughs and a lighhearted bent to the rest of the day!

It's been a few months now since my crossfire has been gone and I still get excited when I see another one on the road!! I cannot wait to get an srt6. I'm shooting for late summer! I never thought I would miss such an impracticle vehical but it's been dreadful!
Here in Colorado you may not see another Crossfire (not including club events of course) for months. Some days you will see three. If I'm in my Crossfire I always wave. Some folks ignore, some smile and wave back.
A few years back in Southern indiana we were headed to the Dragon. Jane Bridges, Itsky, Me and the wife.
No less than three SRT's and one NA convertible as we pass a Yellow roadster. The driver was totaly unaware or unimpressed. Blew my mind. I slowed down towave and she just ignored me.
Sometimes, as special as a car is to the owner, to someone else, the very same vehicle,,,,,is juat a car.
As for me, I get a little crazy when I see another Crossie on the road. Alicia,,,it's a bit of a wonder that I haven't been arrested for 'stalking."

Still get excited to see another Crossfire, in fact Peggy and I make a point of counting them when we go anywhere, which usually ends up being a big "0" especially here in Northeast Ohio in the winter. I really get a kick out seeing others out and about and really enjoy watching other peoples reaction to the Crossfire especially when there are a few of them running together. I can still see the look on the silver haired grandma"s face as she was clapping and giving us the thumbs up as +fireamx, Towncrier, and then Peggy and I passed her in her Buick going down rt 77 a couple of summers ago... priceless

I still have the impulse to wave or flash the brights to other Crossfires... except I'm in my winter Honda and they would probably just think I was strange.
