I don't love scotch unless its really, really good scotch... Macallan is my favorite of that category though...
But if you're looking for some good American Whiskey, WhistlePig is fantastic.

Scotch whisky was created by the Highland Scots to keep the Irish from ruling the world. So far, it seems to be working.

My current favorite. My first whiff of this stuff and I was hooked!
Lagavulin Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Well, for the most part, I'm a cheap drinker. My main whisky is Canadian Mist. Easy on the tongue and even easier on the wallet. If I'm going to spring for a bottle, I'll get Buffalo Trace. If I have a lot of money to burn, I'll go with Stranahan's Colorado Whiskey. It's hand numbered and made in limited quantities. Distilled very close to Coors Field in Denver.

Agreed on that count...
As for Canadian mist,,,,it is a little green at 3 years old but drinkable. You and I have enjoyed a few together Itsky. Obviously, I am no purist on booze. But, now that I am so sensitive to spirits, I tend to have just one drink occasionaly,,,,so I make it special.
Glenfffidish 12 is reasonbly priced and special enough.
Officially: I don't drink alcohol; or drive above the posted speed limit; or fart.
But if I did, I would particularly like Speyside single malt scotches. I would think that Glenlivet and Glenfiddich are delicious.
I wold have had all 5 Johnny Walkers one night at a scotch and cigars event and thought this: Johnny red: "yuck", Johnny black: "too smokey, even compared to this cigar", Johnny green and gold: "good!, I can barely tell the difference though", Johnny blue: "very good, costs how much again??"
I would recommed Cardhu to anyone who enjoys Speyside single malts. It is hard to find around here, but I go out of my way for it. Fun Fact: Cardhu is a key element of Johnny Walker Gold Blend. Fun Fact #2: In 1885 Cardhu rebuilt their distillery and sold their old stills to Glenfiddich.
For cheap "everyday whiskey", for you heathens who would consider drinking every day, I would recommend to you Speyburn single malts. They are good, not great, but good, and cheap.

I won a bottle of Cdn Mist a few months ago and was pleasantly surprised. Its distilled in Collingwood Ontario just 35 miles from me. Heading up there today for hockey. My favorite Cdn Whiskey is Gibson's Finest 12 Year old. Its the best.
I must be the only red neck on here. Jack is my friend when I need to unwind. Seems I only get to do that when at our car get togethers. I drive too much any other time. Not a scotch drinker. But ole' Jack Daniels, Crown, or Makers Mark do the trick for me.
I don't mind Jack either, but it is pretty pricey out this way.
Jack has always been a friend of mine. I have a 1.75 at all times in both black label and gentleman. Check Costco!
They are just as much if not a bit more than my local liquor store.
About $40-$45 here depending on if there is a sale or not.

I'm drinking a Glennfidditch 15 ad it's flipping amazing. Nice Carmel odor and a very good smooth taste. Easily my new favorite.
