With weather today , just checking to see if all are ok ,

 

Things went Okay here in St Louis.

 

All calm now in Aurora,Ill (40 miles west of Chicago)
We had high winds and heavy rain and a bit of hail but it has calmed down now
Still pretty windy but drying up out there.

I took a walk through the attic during the height of the storm and am happy to say no roof leaks found.

I know I know.....go to the basement during a strong storm with high winds....Well I chose the attic instead

 

High winds in central Indiana. Thought I was doing the right thing getting to work between the severe thunderstorm/tornado watch and the straight line wind storm....not so much. Storage tote lid flying out of control at probably 60mph and my XF traveling at 45...collision. Need a new passenger side headlight assembly. Hopefully, that was all it hit.

 

Had a funnel cloud stay aloft just north of my house. Had a tornado touch down 25 miles north of that one in Kokomo IN. Had a small tornado do damage west of us about 20 miles....no one hurt amazingly...

Lots of damage here, my home is ok. There was a junior high school (6 miles away) hit real bad. The Subaru plant got hit and lost some roof and interior walls. A big barn down about 3 miles from here. Several more factories with big damage, hundreds of power lines, trees, poles etc down - and our cable is out at the Fire Station.

 

It is a shame that I let my summer car see the road salt on Saturday night....

shame shame....

Now I'll have to spend a lot of time cleaning those salt off, but before that, I gotta wait for a good weather....

 

Take it thru a touchless car wash....get the salt out of there....

 

Negative doc...still way too much salt on the road yet, once I hit a car wash, it will get the salt on the road wet, then it will come up again.

I'll just have to wait for couple days for those gobbly goop to clear out....grrrr
