Question The Crossfire State of Mind?

My Wife and I took a little road trip today on the East End of LI. it was a beautiful day, not to windy and 63 degrees the top was dropped of course. As we were coming around a curve on Wm. Floyd Pkwy, I spot a Black XFire Coupe on my left stopped at the light. We pull up beside the Coupe a woman is behind the wheel, my wife and I smiled and said hello to her and.......she looked at us turned her head and took off. I tried to catch up to her, at about 90 my wife smacked me in back of the head to slow down. She had to be pushing at least 100-110, fortunately the only cars that were on the road for 8 miles ahead were ours. Finally caught up to her at the end of the Pkwy, she went left and ate the light and I went right (didn't eat the light). I am starting to really wonder about people, just thought it would be polite to say hello. I have now only seen 4 Xfires in my general area, an Alabaster Coupe that blew past me as if he had just pulled a bank job....a Blaze Red Coupe that totally ignored my presence and a fine gentle that I met at a local car show who is the proud owner of a Blaze Red Coupe. I don't want anyone to think I am demanding people acknowledge my presence, but I just don't get it. Here you have 2 somewhat rare cars side by side, the same color head to head.....the almost perfect Xfire/Kodak moment.

I agree, I've had two similar incidents in the UK where I see another one on the motorway, pull alongside and wave, and they just ignor me. How rude. Some people really need to get into the spirit of this car.

Ya know, I'm not defending anyone, but sometimes I can't tell its an xfire.

Only seen four on the roads, so far. And, I do smile and wave to the ones I have a chance to. But, I'm just not used to seeing the car: A) At all B) In Motion C) From the lower angle of sitting in myown (Man, they look different from down here than standing up).

Two of the four I've seen, I look at the car comming at me (from the opposite direction) and wonder what kind of car that is. By time it dawns on me "Hey, thats a crossfire, Stupid!" its too late and we wizzed by each other.

So, if *I* have ignored anyone, sorry. My CPW (crossfire proximity warning) system is apparently not working correctly. That, or you folks have to remember to turn off you cloaking devices if you want someone to say Hi.

CrossfireLTD,
Maybe she was jealous that you had a roadster. That probably meant that yours was newer than hers.
Or maybe she thought you wanted to race her and she wanted to blow away a roadster.
Or maybe she is just a snob, no matter what car she is in.
If I ever see you, I'll wave for sure!
I wouldn't sweat it.

or maybe she wasn't much of a car enthusiast and was just borrowing the car from a friend and didn't know what the heck she had. You could have been driving a Ferrari Enzo and asking her to go for a ride and she would still have given you the nose in the air job.
