Read this article and see someone who picture should be beside the word guts in the dictionary.

"Hero" as well. Not like the "Heros" my country serves up today from Hollywood or Washington, DC.

Read his book, saw the movie... He was one tough cookie, and always stood by his principles...a true hero and patriot... Unlike the USA today... WE have a ***** in the White House, and war protestors running the country and educating our kids... NOT a political statement, just a FACT..... Care to challenge me on that...I will PM you my address...

Doc, back when Denton was a POW, we also had an A** in the White House, and so many war protesters that we shipped a bunch of 'em off to Canada.

Naw....we didn't take them.....just a few draft dodgers. Amnesty brought them back home.

Aside from that, the way this nation treated the returning vets was disgusting and despicable. Had they known how they would be treated, I bet most of them would have left this country - but NEVER to return.
