I'm looking for a good place to take the wife for her birthday in 'the fall'. Was thinking about Toronto or Chicago. Grateful if anyone can recommend a US/Canadian city for a weeks holiday (with some thing to do for 2 kids aged 5 & 6).

Would like to see a hockey/baseball/football match if in season.

Would be up for an XF meet, but we would probably have a family hire car.

 

Would recommend Toronto / Niagara Falls area. Kids will love the falls.
Lots to see in Toronto. Probably too late for the baseball; hockey is iffy unless you want to see a Junior game. With any luck, NHL strike will be over but possibly too early for good hockey games.
I don't think your going to find any Xfire hookups here but you never know by then.
My guess is that your English pound will go further with the Canadian dollar than south of the border.

Looks like we are going to go for a week in Toronto and a couple of days in Niagra. I expect the place has changed since we were last in Toronto in September 1988.

Now all I have to do is to decide where in US/Canada I want to go for my birthday.
