TV Show Appearance Monday. 10PM
The TV show "Fat N' Furious Rolling Thunder" comes on at 10:00 pm tonight on the Discovery Channel.
A good friend of mine "Don Moyer" is having one of his rare cars featured on the show. He is an avid car collector and probably owns 15 or 20 cars. Including street rods, rat rods, classic dragsters, and a good collection of AMC Muscle, and Mopars as well.
I've never seen the show before, so I have no idea what to expect. Don can be a real character sometimes so it should be an interesting show.
They're featuring a 1969 SC/Rambler "barn find" I believe, and I don't have any idea what they will be doing to it.
If you're not busy, check it out just for fun.

It is Fat N' Furious, since all of the older guys weight at least 300 lbs., a play on words. They are out of Youngstown, Ohio. It's a pretty good show....

Well that was different.lol
Just so ya know. The work that those guys did to Don's car, Don could have done in his sleep in a few hours, he's a MASTER mechanic. You can't always believe everything you see on TV. If you're on facebook, check out "Moyers Museum of Speed".
It's kind of ironic, but the last time I drove my AMX was in the Fall of 2004 when me and a few of my AMC buddies took our cars to Tompson Drag Raceway, and I went up against Don driving another SC/Rambler. Don really wanted to "Crush me like a bug" (his favorite expression at the time) but I ran the fastest time my AMX ever turned, and prevailed. (Even got it on video). In his defense, his car back fired thru the carb and fire shot out of his scoop at the starting line, and that's all she wrote.
I think there are going to be some more shows with some of his other cars.

Well I set the DVR and recorded the show weeks ago.
Just watched it today.
Pretty cool show and a cool car too.
The icing on the cake was when they tracked down the original owner who raced the car in Texas nearly 40 years ago and brought him back to see the car and be on the show and then allowed him to start the car after the mods were completed.
Made an old guy feel like a teenager again to here that engine fire up
How awesome was that and what an incredible opportunity to be a part of.
I hadn't seen this show before but set it to record new episodes in the future
