We lost a friend
I'm posting this with a heavy heart, we lost a friend, long time member here and one of CICCI Founders Pat Purcell. I always enjoyed hanging out with him at the Chrysler Nationals in Carlisle. Great guy who will be missed. R.I.P. Pat
I am so sad to hear this news.
I met Pat one year at Carlisle.
Then when CICCI was created I joined nearly immediately.
When I took the office of president I would speak with Pat and others on monthly phone calls having meetings with the club BOD.
It was always a pleasure to have him on our call and on the BOD.
He was such a wonderful guy and such a true car guy.
He will be missed by so many people.
My condolences to his friends and entire family
RIP Pat

My deepest condolences to his family. My prayers go out to him and his family.
He was a very nice guy. Many of you new in the last few years may have not known him. He sold his beloved XF a few years back to get the car of his dreams; a very cool Cobra.
May he R.I.P.

I just can't believe this. Pat was a great guy, we would spend hours (over the years) talking cars, family, friends or what ever our conversations would lead us.
I met his Son, but never met his lovely Wife and Daughter (Though I heard a great deal about them).
We shared a history of owning several similar cars, but he trumped me when he purchased his Cobra. Unfortunately it meant that he would naturally be spending less and less time here on the XF Forum. Still, from time to time he would always check in to see how things were going, and to share news of his family, and life in general.
Pat was a genuine "People Person" and many here knew him much better than I did through our casual relationship. His gentle easy going nature just made him so comfortable to be around.
My Wife and I want to wish his family our deepest condolences, and we will keep them in our prayers. He will truly be missed.

Heart broken and completely devastated. Pat Purcell was not only one of the Original Founders of CICCI but he was a great guy. He knew his Crossfire and was a "car guy through and through". We shared a lot of opinions, dinners, drinks and drives. Pat was a great friend and he will be sorely missed. Rest well buddy.
