Less than four hours ago, it was -12 in Bella Vista, it is now +11F. The sun is out (first time in over a week) and the low tonight is 14F.
It's pretty bad when 14F puts a smile on my face.
You would be grinning from ear to ear next week if you could come to the Toronto area in Canada as it will be just above freezing for the whole week during the day and little to no snow.
Amazing eh?

Dave, forecasting 38 F next Tuesday here in the banana belt!
Actually, Dave, they forecast 50's here by middle of next week.
Lesson: It gets cold here, but it just does not last like anywhere way north of here.
Like Michigan. Or Canada.
Canada is a big place going from the banana belt where bluecoupe lives to the Arctic. A goodly portion of the contiguous US is farther North than bluecoupe or yours truly.
We're going to be a -2 Farenheit tonight here in Clinton Township, Michigan. When I look back on 2 years ago, we were just outside of Chicago (Hillside, Illinois)...was not a vacation (our son was in the hospital there).. The temp driving from the motel to the hospital down the street on January 30 was a -21 Farenheit! Yeh, we're in a heat wave by comparison. Will be 'crunchy' tonight Now this is cold
Our deep freeze is over. They say we can expect +5F Thursday night, but other than that, we will not go below 15F in the foreseeable future.
It is 18F as I type this. They say 3-6 more inches will arrive overnight, I already plan on not going to work, but if it's not too bad, I will probalby go - I get very few chances to play with my 4WD truck and it is kinda fun.
Back down to 9 degrees tonight
I took some pics outside my house after some snow removal today
We are fortunate in the western suburbs because the city of Chicago got 18 inches just last night
We only got about 5 more on top of what we already have
Our forecast looks like this

Yes 180 is correct, Canada is a big place - Our igloos have melted in Vancouver. In the Vancouver area we have temperatures that go below 14F on average 4 days per year!
Our Capital in BC - Victoria has 15 days that hit 32F/0C but only 5 that goe below 28F. We had a couple inches of snow this week but only landed on the grass - it did not cover the driveway or sidewalk. Only shoveled once this year! Today it is raining and in the low 40's F. Yesterday was sunny and I changed my tail light and antenna gasket in high 40'sF.
Hoping for the best to all our friends in Texas and other states that are without power and dealing with the freak weather conditions.
