what age you feel you are when driving your xf?
honest. tell us. when am at the helm, i forget my age. i feel as when i was learning to ride a bike, or a motorcycle.
remember the feeling? i feel the same. exhilarating! and the reason why i got manual gears is because not only reminds me of those years when i drove manuals, not autos, but because changing gears allows me to have better control of the car, and keeps me awake.
just driving this car makes me feel as if i were up in a cloud.
driving has always been fun to me, but never as much as with this car.

Eighteen and a little reckless.
Running my Crossie through the gears on a tight winding set of twisties, is almost better than sex. And, based on my own 74 years of experience, a much cheaper thrill.

well every track i go to i have to enforce one rule,,,,, "the old man must win" most of the young guys just laugh,, but then when i smoke them ,,,bad , most of them look at me and ask how old are you.?
well, of course...after all, a sports car is 1 that you have to squeeze in or out, sit on the floor, and feel all the bumps on the road. isnt it?
I don't know about yours, but my roadster is shrinking.
Drove it today on errands and it is a B***C to get in and out of.

The first hundred or so yards are blissful. Then you hit a stretch of rough pavement, the car's notorious (with it's short wheel base) ride becomes reality and the bubble bursts. Anyone over 50 will understand. Oh, and this is only after the pretzel Maneuver to get into the car!
well, there are 2 things that can help to ease them: 1 is trying other ways to get in, and the other is to install adjustable shocks. see here:

Many sports cars do not make good daily drivers. They are hard to get in and out of, visibility can be poor, harsher ride, etc. One mistake people often make is getting caught up in the looks and performance of a sports car, not thinking about driving it on a daily basis. My Crossfire would never work for me daily, but is excellent for weekend use. It's simply the nature of the beast. Precision engineering and a low slung design (CG) comes with a price. Every sports car has both ride and entry/exit issues. The performance, fun and exhilaration far outweighs the negatives.

great comment. thanks. now please tell us: what age you feel you are when driving your xf?
When I get into a sports car I suddenly don't have a birth certificate. However my subjective age would be 18 (frozen in a state of permanent immaturity ! )
thats true. but then, we try not to think on that, just the fun we had.

When I get into the SRT I feel like it's the onset of puberty; changes in motivation, mood, and emotions. Always fun to take it out and listen to the supercharger !
