Default Member SRT SIX has passed away

I'm saddened to announce Karl Moreland has passed away.
Karl was a long time member here known as
SRT SIX
He joined this forum on May 17th 2006 and was a very active member years ago.
He also provided some really neat Crossfire Accessories and had a beautiful custom SRT6 Coupe

On January 20th his heart stopped 3 times and had no oxygen for long periods of time.
He quickly slipped into a coma.
He passed away on January 28th.
His sister said his funeral was held today.
Here is a pic of Karl and his very beautiful Crossfire which he had a lot of custom work done to.
Karl lived in Folsum, California and attended many car shows
Karl was very active with the Folsom Cars and Coffee group as well
We have lost a very good man and Crossfire owner here

Here are some of my pics from the very first CAA event
Crossfires Across America in St Louis
Karl drove his SRT6 all the way from California to St. Louis, Missouri for this in 2010 and I had the pleasure to spend time with him
He even won an award for his Crossfire while there !!

Karl initiated the original thread of the SRT6 VIN# tracking with a sticky in March 2007. The prior tracking from 2005 was informal and various members were involved in capturing the VIN#'s from numerous dealer and sales sites (RPM, CrossfireFun and many other members).
In addition, Karl developed many custom parts for all Crossfire models, but especially the SRT6 model. He modified his SRT6 to his liking, stepping away from the stock appearance.
Thanks for participating on this forum and you will be missed....

My deepest condolences to his family, extended forum members, and friends. I have read many posts with Karl's comments and found his love for the crossfire at the top 99% participation, with help being among the best of those posts. RIP Karl, you will be missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing you personally (which I am sorry to have not been included into meeting)!

I consider myself fortunate to have met Karl and spend time with him this past September. I was traveling to California for a Crossfire event and was going to be working on a few Crossfires in the Sacramento area. He contacted me and offered, which I accepted, to put me up in the Hampton Inn Folsom, while I stayed in Sacramento. I enjoyed getting to know him that week.

It looks like Karl's SRT-6 is now on Bring A Trailer if I am not mistaken.

There is a video/trailer on BaT from 2010 "Crossfire across America", it was posted to the BaT auction and it features his name in the credits.

Hope it gets what it deserves. Sharp looking ride. Never met Karl, but he seemed to be a wonderful human being and well liked on this forum. RIP
