Just heard this on WPIXL radio, a local AM station in rural Texas...
Russian Military Crash/Emergency Landing in Alaska
Sounds like an emergency landing, aircraft damaged, multiple nukes on board but 'no risk' from them seems to be the word.
What might be more troubling, is it was part of what sounds like more than a dozen planes enroute somewhere.
Hi folks! Been awhile, mrs & I still kickin' and her '05 Roadster still lives with us. Mostly our garage queen since 2016. After several years of coverage thru American Collectors Insurance, they no longer want to renew our policy. Stating: "does not meet our Collector vehicle profile...specifically designed for...that are appreciating in value, are of unique or rare design...limited production and/or in excellent condition. If you disagree...provide documentation supporting an appreciating collector value & current photos..."
She is stock, aero blue, paint very good & no body damage, top excellent (was replaced), interior very good/no rips or tears, automatic, 88k miles, very carefully owner maintained/repaired as needed [crank. pos. sensor]. Everything works, including tire pressure sensors.
Thoughts/suggestions? Find a new insurance company?

The last I heard about Russian planes in our space was on February 7. I tried to search the news, but I couldn't find anything that happened recently. I wonder if they're trying to cover it up. Standard operating procedure nowadays.
I just remembered what day it was! Nice one! LOL

It's unthinkable in Japan. Crossfire is not popular in Japan
Just in case the Emblem doesn't work;
Here's a link with an excellent overview of the various companies and their restrictions: https://www.valuepenguin.com/best-cl...-car-insurance
Possibly foreign/off shore locations are permitted.

THere was another clue in my post:
WPIXL ? AM/FM/TV stations in the USA have FOUR letter calls, not five letters.
WPIXL is in Pixley, just down the road from Hooterville, in the TV series "Green Acres".

I knew the "WPIXL" was a clue, but I thought it was in reference to video pixelation.
Still, a very good April Fools prank!
You know there are some people with too much time on their hands when they get ticked off about the sound of the wind chimes you've had hanging for three years. The neighbor in question has left us alone for months, but I guess she got bored. Wrote letters to the management company who came out with decibel meters ... really ... Turns out even being banged and clanged the wind chimes were still quieter than a conversation between two people.
They appreciated our willingness to cooperate, but will also be telling the neighbor that they are satisfied there isn't a wind chime problem and if she doesn't like that, she can move.
Two years ago she was threatened with eviction because the park owners got fed up with her BS harassment of us and others.
I'm pausing plans to add more wind chimes around the yard.
*sigh*
06:30, 6 June, 1944 The Allies landed on the beaches of Normandy, France. The five main landings were named; Omaha, Utah, Sword, Juno and Gold. "Operation Overlord" would be the turning point in the war in Europe.
That was Eighty years ago today.
