Whatever happened to JHM2K? Here one minute and gone the next.
Does anybody know?
He always had something good in his posts, very literate.

I believe he sold his SRT6 a while back and exited the forum. There are several other members that exited this site over the past several years, Mr. Miata, FP, CrispyT, Jesse James, Squirrel Crusher, and numerous other owners when this site was extremely active.
Oh Well.... Dennis

I am about to drop FAKEBOOK, every time I log on, some friend of a friend and so on keeps clogging up my facebook account. It's taking me hours to delete this crapola... So, soon, no more FAKEBOOK!

A couple of suggestions if I may,
You can try "Unfollowing" them and you won't see their posts anymore.
You could also create another account and only use it for the Crossfire page.
What about JHM2K ?
He was always interesting, I heard he had sold his car.
I messaged him and he will be popping in here to say hello
He sold his Crossfire many years ago
He is married and now has 2 beautiful children (1 boy and 1 girl) and he is doing very well
Hopefully he will share a family pic when he comes here
Gary reached out to me and let me know about this post... Really nice to be thought of, especially after all these years. I sold my SRT-6 in 2014 (ten years ago this month!!) and still miss it. I've had a few quick Nissans since then, most fun was probably the 2017 Nismo 370Z, 6MT in Brilliant Silver. Absolutely loved that car, but as luck would have it, I learned of the arrival of my first child in 2018. Soooo the Z got replaced by a Murano, Frontier, and so on. Life comes at you fast, and now I have two kiddos -- Isaac (5) and Zayla (3).
I still miss my SRT, though. No other car was as special to me, no other community was as solid. When I'm not working (50+ hours a week as a Sr. Engineer at Nissan), I do my best to hit the lake and log some hours fishing on the kayak, and my close friend/colleague hit the local lakes in his bass boat if we can align the days off. Otherwise, all other spare moments go to being the best dad I can be.
I've been helping my dad restore/refresh a 1989 Mercedes 560 SL... seeing all those old Benz part numbers really made me homesick for the Crossfire. IF I ever picked up another one, it would absolutely be a Roadster with a Stick -- Franc Rauscher had it right all along
This pic is a year or so old, but one of my favorites of me and the fam -- gearing up for the 4th of July (It's a bit grainy, I had to resize it because the original was monstrously huge)
How is everyone doing over here? Anything new and exciting in the aftermarket, or is it a game of preservation/survival at the moment? Needswings still cranking out go-fast goodies?
Thanks for checking in John
Yes, Needswings.com (Rob) is still active with our Crossfire community providing many replacement parts and good customer service.
We are preserving these awesome cars and maybe one day you will get that 6 Speed Roadster you still desire.
I've had my 6 Speed Roadster for just over 6 years and love it !!!
I'll continue to see ya over on Facebook .
Thanks again for dropping in here.

Great idea, let me mull it over some. I am really sick of the changes every time I log into the computer, Windows, Edge, FB, and a lot of other pages, to keep up is a mind frack... Thanks!

All the best,

Nice to hear you are doing well, I miss your insights into the various problems we saw here. The forum has changed a lot and is really quite boring now. The same problems are still cropping up many of them are because the cars have been misused and abused by their many owners.
Take care of your fine looking family.

Thank you sir! I'll try to do a better job of popping on to share advice and insights. I'm actually (pleasantly) surprised to see the values holding well... I did see the 4,xxx mile SRT-6 gem that sold on BAT recently for ~$20K, I figured something as mint as that would bring much more.
Sorry to hear that the forum has grown a bit stale... somewhat to be expected with an obsolete platform, but it's still a quirky enough car that many people will come here looking for the "decoder ring" to figure out the quirks and features. The car is still a head-turner.
Short of an unforeseen inheritance or lottery winning, I don't anticipate being able to swing a reentry into the car scene in the near future. All of my current/recent toys are corporate leases (with a stipend, so yay for that) but the nature of the lease means no "playtime" or modification. The newest Z is so hand-to-mouth on production that I doubt I'll ever get a chance to lease one. A pity, because it's a real screamer with the TT V6.
In this economy, I can only afford one hobby at a time, so fishing is on deck at the moment. But I would be lying if I said I didn't occasionally check on Crossfire pricing and general availability. It's also not lost on me that the SLK55 AMGs are roughly in the same price point (can be had for mid-upper teens) and that's an awfully tempting option. One thing I've learned so far in life -- if you wanna make God laugh, tell Him your plans. So I'm not eliminating anything from the realm of possibility at the moment.
I appreciate the kind words, and thinking of me in general. You're a good man
