Sorry if this is posted in the wrong place, but I'm a pretty new member and I suppose this is probably a "new member" question.

I've noticed that not all my posts show up under the New Posts that is at the top of this page. I posted a response to a thread myself earlier today but it doesn't show up under "New Posts"?

Is it because the New Posts have to be "new threads" and not a response to an old thread? Or might it be that New Post is only new for a certain amount of time?

Just wondering because I like to follow New Posts and assumed they would all show up in the New Posts heading above?

It will show up to other members but not to you as you have seen it and it is not new to you.

 

New posts are seen by all members each time after logging in for a new session here
New posts appear for a 24 hour window of time since you were last logged in here

Thanks 180 and Valk, I understand. I'm on several different forums and some of them appear to use the same software and framework as this site...but they are set up a bit differently.
