Crossfires, GenCoupes and Helene Survivors
For many years, I coordinated the spring and fall Dragon events. During that time, Eryk Gustafson was working on the team that ran the Gen Coupes' Dragon events. We shared the roads and lodge with them for years. Eryk and I consulted one another on various concerns about our weekends together.
In time, he left the Gens to pursue married and family life, but he and I remain in touch all this time.
Now, the two of us would like to invite all Crossfire people (and all of his friends) to join forces to help those who so badly need it. This was Eryk's idea as he had a trip planned already.
I urge my Crossfire friends to support this effort.
If you are not on any Facebook pages, here is the direct link to his GoFundMe. Eryk is a fine young man (everyone is younger than I am) and I am happy to join with him in this effort.

WOW, the fund SHOT UP in the last 16 hours. I guess it's payday for a lot of us.
This weekend Gus will write and I will distribute an explanation of how he and his dad will transport into the area - truck traffic into affected areas is not possible.
He is working with charities that are staging at regional airports away from the damage to fly supplies in. At this point, he thinks it's all going to one charity, once the decision is made (based on what supplies he can get versus what each charity says they need), word will be spread here and elsewhere as to where stuff went.
Thanks all again, I was getting depressed about what happened, just DOING SOMETHING to help has made me feel somewhat better. I can' watch the news anymore. And I dont want to know what the death toll is.

My thanks to all those who donated to this GoFundMe effort to help many in need
There is still time if you wish to help out here..........
