Talking New Idea for Cup Holder

The other morning after stopping @ Tim Horton's for a coffee on my way to work (I'm in toronto this week) the idea hit me. My car is a manual so holding a cup of coffee, shifting and steering can be done but it gets to be quite a balancing act, I looked at the Small Square Box of Scott's tissues that I had Velcro'd to the left hand corner of the passenger floor mat and said hey it looks like a cup would fit in there. And Viola! it fits almost perfect. Now make sure the box is less that half full and you will have to reach over and just kinda hold the top of the cup while cornering but hey it worked pretty good.
Just thought I'd pass the idea along. It's not the fanciest and probably would not be good for a long distance (hmmm I'll try that on the way home) but for a short jaunt around town it works, and if you do spill anything you'll have tissues right there to clean up with.

Yep, really uptown... a Kleenex box velcroed to the passenger side floor mat and used as a cup holder.

I suppose I should duct tape my wheels to keep the dust off too!

So it was YOU! http://www.kentucky.com/513/story/150235.html

A box of Kleenex velcro'd to the floor? That is interesting.
Are you a sufferer of severe allergies or a pimp? (jk)

As for the duct tape idea...I don't think I'd put duct tape on the wheels but you could use it to remove the dust after some accumilates.

I found one problem with the XFSC, the damn cup holder. It has broken twice, the "latch" would not catch to keep it in the down position. Other than that my XFSC is Gangsta!

Can't come to Canada without stopping at Tim's. Of course they are on every corner. I use my cup holder for my cell phone.

You'll have to plan ahead on that one, but the tissues will be nice and warm... ahhh.

Passenger side left knee warmer...

Hey if you tap into the cooling and run a coil around a 4" piece of stainless tubing and then insert all into the tissue box packed with fiberglass insulation -- it will keep the coffee hot... and your soda too!
