I don't think the club was eligible for the package since we had less than 10 reservations. However, it does not hurt to ask.

Edit - on second thought, there may be 10 of you staying. I can't recall though.

Post pictures for those of us who can not make it, please.

FP, I wish I could see your new leather seats. The photos look
nice, as everyone else seems to say.

My vehicle is so dirty, I would be ashamed to show up there.
I am in serious need of a total detailing, maybe this weekend,
while the rest of you are having a great time.

Well I arrived in at the Courtyard hotel at about 4:00 PM but not without a price, there was a semi that had a blow out and tire went flying everywhere. My hood, bumper and front fender took a beating and well my car is not fit to be in any car cruise. I even lost my lower grill on the passenger side and who knows where it landed. I hoping that I can clean some of the tire marks off with some cleaner wax and maybe make it look half way presentable. When some of the other forum members get here at the hotel maybe I can get some ideas for some cosmetic solutions. I guess when I get home the body shop will get some business. I am so bummed out!!!

Imfink2 -

We are here in town, call if we can help - this has ruined your trip and your car. I don't know of any local contacts for parts or repair as we just bought our Xf in July. Maybe Apkano, who is in Troy, would have more info, call him.

I'll be arriving around 5:00 p.m. Give me a call on my cell if you need me to pick-up/bring anything. Would some rubbing compound or anything like that help. Andrew what is your suggestion?

I really appreciate everyone's generosity but I think I will just try to rub out what I can with some cleaner wax and leave it at that and just enjoy the rest of my trip and the cruise. In the morning I'll call my buddy Larry at the body shop and make an appointment for when I get back home and everything will be just fine (fingers crossed). I'm really looking forward to meeting everyone and thanks again for your help.

Sorry to hear about your misfortune. I wish there was something I could do. If you need me to bring anything such as my PC buffer, let me know.

i'm sooo sorry to hear of this...

i would recommend heading to an area napa store... pick up some 3M finesse-it II and follow up with 3M imperial hand glaze... then wax. these 3M products are very safe for your cars finish and will allow it to look the best possible considering the circumstances...

try to make the best of the gtg... hard to do... i know...

cheers,
andrew

Thumbs up Re: Woodward Dream Cruise - August 18th, 2007 - Motown

You can still watch some of the cruise if you're not going - LIVE:

http://info.detnews.com/video/dreamc...video_page.cfm

Maybe you'll see the posse of Xfires cruise by tomorrow morning and tomorrow evening. Should be a sight.
